I started feeling that I wanted to create social change while I was volunteering at the age of 15. I shared most of my time with vulnerable children and immigrants people in my home country of Spain. Therefore, after finishing high school, I decided to study psychology. It is not just a degree, but rather the way I understand the world around me. In the summer of 2012, I went to Kenya to know more about the reality of poverty in rural areas. Then, during the summer of 2013 when finished my career, I went back to Kenya to learn more about slum communities and interventions with vulnerable children through a local NGO. I’m now an activist for women’s rights and am passionate about African studies. My biggest dream is to be a part of the change that Kenya needs to undergo to become a better place to live in.
